Twine Gauge Measuring Plier
Manufactured to the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 517/2008, and to the latest Directive 2009/34/EC, these measuring pliers are made of stainless steel grade AISI 316 FM to allow them to withstand a harsh marine environment.
The pliers have edges around the circumference of each side of the circular hole for assessing the thickness of the twine, and are chamfered (rounded) to avoid abrasion when the twine is pulled through the hole to test legality.
The tolerance for the hole diameter is 0 + 0.1mm.
- For 3 mm diameter twine
- For 4 mm diameter twine
- For 5 mm diameter twine
- For 6 mm diameter twine
- For 8 mm diameter twine
- For 0.5 mm diameter twine
How to use?
- With the pliers in the open position the twine should be located in between the two cavities of the hole gauge.
- The pliers should then be closed around the twine.
- In the closed position, the twine should be able to be pulled through the gauge with ease.
