1 Contract
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) contain the legal basis upon which Maun Industries Limited whose registered office is at Hamilton Road, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 5LD, United Kingdom (“Maun”) supplies goods and services to its customers (“You”) when ordered through our website at www.maunindustries.com.
1.2 Maun reserves the right to alter these Terms without notice to You. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.
2 Ordering
2.1 All orders placed by You are subject to acceptance by Maun. Maun may choose not to accept Your order for any reason and will not be liable to You or to anyone else in those circumstances.
2.2 Your Order constitutes an offer to purchase the Goods in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that the terms of the order and any applicable specification are complete and accurate.
2.2 If Your order includes products that are not available from stock there may be a delay in dispatching Your order. Maun will attempt to contact You using the details You have provided to Maun to ask You how You wish to proceed. You will have the option to wait until the products are available from stock, or to cancel Your order.
3 Price
3.1 The price payable for the goods ordered is the price shown on the website at the time Maun receives Your order plus any applicable charges for carriage. Prices shown on the website may not be the same as those shown in Maun’s published price list document. VAT (or equivalent sales tax) will be itemised and identified where applicable as part of Your order.
3.2 Maun reserves the right to change prices and details at any time without notice. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the correct price is displayed on our website, errors may occur. If Maun discovers that such an error has been made in the quoted price, You will be contacted to confirm this.
3.3 You will then be given the option of cancelling the order or re-confirming it at the correct price. If Maun is unable to contact You, the order will be treated as cancelled.
3.4 Maun must receive payment for the whole of the goods ordered together with any applicable carriage and insurance charge, before an order can be accepted.
3.5 You will be responsible for the payment of all duties, rates, taxes, dues, levies or charges imposed in connection with the goods by any country to which the goods are to be delivered. This includes fees levied by any customs agent or shipper for collecting or paying such charges on Your behalf.
3.6 If You fail to make payment for any or all of the additional costs as described above in clause 3.5 resulting in the return of the goods, Maun reserves the right to deduct all costs incurred as a result of this return, including the cost of returning the goods, from any refund that may be available.
4 Payment
4.1 You must be aged 18 years or over to purchase goods from Maun through its website.
4.2 By placing an order through its website You authorise Maun to debit the relevant online payment account, credit card or debit card for the total amount of the order prior to the dispatch of the goods to Your delivery address.
4.3 Payments can be made by most major debit or credit cards, or by online payment services such as PayPal. Maun also accepts direct bank transfers. By using a debit or credit card, or an online payment service to pay for Your order, You confirm that the card/account being used is Yours. Additional terms and conditions for online payment services may apply, however Maun is not responsible for Your use of such providers, nor of the content of any external websites.
4.4 All debit and credit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of Your card refuses to authorise payment, Maun will not accept Your order. Maun will not be obliged to inform You of the reason for the refusal and Maun will not be liable for the item not being made available for delivery or collection. Maun is not responsible for Your card issuer or bank charging You because of our processing of Your debit or credit card payment in accordance with Your order.
4.5 If You collect Your goods, You will be required to bring along the card used for payment. For Your protection against fraud, Maun cannot release Your purchase without seeing Your payment card. If You have paid other than with a debit or credit card, to collect Your goods You will need to verify Your identity by producing a photo ID, which must be either Your passport or photo driving licence.
4.6 Maun recommends that You do not communicate Your payment card details to anyone, including Maun, by email. Maun cannot be responsible for any losses You may incur in transmitting such information to Maun by internet link or by email. Any such loss will be entirely Your responsibility.
5 Delivery
5.1 Delivery can be made to over 200 countries. Should Maun not list Your country at checkout, contact Maun on +44 1623 554599 for more information. Deliveries to destinations other than mainland UK can be arranged by Maun. Such deliveries can be arranged when placing Your order on the website and inputting Your delivery address at the checkout.
5.2 Delivery dates and times given by Maun are estimates only and Maun will not be liable if such dates are missed. Products are usually dispatched within 1-2 working days. When You place an order, Maun will estimate shipping and delivery dates for You based on the availability of Your items and the shipping options.
5.3 For UK deliveries, Maun offers the following services.

UK Next Day Service using DHL Parcel UK (next business day) - orders must be placed before 14:00 (UK Time) to be eligible for UK next business day delivery. Should Your order be placed after 14:00 then Your order will be scheduled for dispatch the following day*.

*Although Maun offer the above services, items are sold subject to their availability. For any specialist or made-to-order products (as stated on the product page), allow up to 30 working days for Your order to be manufactured and dispatched. 5.4 On some products, there are delivery/shipping restrictions. As a result, these products cannot be shipped to UK or international destinations, and collection must be made by You from such location as is reasonably nominated by Maun.
5.5 Items are supplied subject to their availability and Maun reserves the right to change details and/or product specifications without notice. Whilst Maun will endeavour to hold sufficient stock to meet all orders, if there is insufficient stock to meet Your order, Maun may at its discretion contact You to offer a substituted product or alternatively refund the price paid for such goods as soon as possible.
5.6 Maun reserves the right to make delivery by instalments. Maun’s failure to deliver one or more instalments or any claim by You in respect of any one or more instalments will not entitle You to cancel the remainder of the Contract.
6 Risk
The risk in goods sold to You will pass to You at the time of delivery from which time You are responsible for loss, damage or deterioration of the goods or any part thereof.
7 Inspection
7.1 You must inspect the goods at the place and time of receipt but nothing in these Terms will require You to break packaging and/or unpack goods that are intended to be stored before use.
7.2 You must advise Maun by telephone within 14 days of receipt of any claim for short delivery or carriage. Maun’s liability for short delivery on any order is limited to making good any such shortage.
7.3 If You do not give notice within 14 days the goods will be deemed to have been delivered in the quantities shown in the delivery documents and You will not be entitled and will irrevocably and unconditionally waive any right to reject the goods or claim any damages whatsoever for short delivery howsoever caused.
8 Returns and cancellation
8.1 The Client has the right to cancel any order placed on this website within 14 calendar days, beginning with the day after the date goods are delivered, without giving reason. Should the product You wish to cancel be specialist or made-to-order this will need to be discussed with Maun directly. To exercise Your right to cancel an order, contact Maun immediately on +44 1623 554599.
8.2 On cancellation for whatsoever reason, You must return the goods in their original condition and packaging to Maun at Your cost unless the goods are being returned because they are faulty or incorrect goods, in which case Maun will meet the cost of the return on Maun’s nominated carrier. If following cancellation, the goods are not returned by You, Maun reserves the right to deduct the cost of recovering the goods from any refund due to You.
8.3 Refunds will only be made within 30 days of receipt of the goods by Maun to the debit card, credit card or online payment account that was originally used to complete the transaction. PayPal refunds can only be processed to the account used for payment and not to a different PayPal account.
8.4 Maun reserves the right to make a deduction from the amount of the refund for loss in value of the goods returned where the goods show signs of unreasonable use; for these purposes, unreasonable use includes handling the goods beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
8.5 If You need to return an item, contact Maun on +44 1623 554599 with Your order number and details about the product You would like to return. Maun will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from Your order.
9 Warranty and Liability
9.1 Maun offers You a 12 months’ warranty against faulty materials and/or workmanship. If You register your purchase from www.maunindustries.com with Maun, this warranty is extended to 24 months.
9.2 Any faulty products will be replaced or repaired free of charge at the discretion of Maun if found to be faulty, unless the fault is due to wear and tear, misuse or careless handling, accident or neglect and provided that the products are returned promptly to Maun at Your cost, together with a proof of purchase within the warranty period, and the reason for the return is clearly stated.
9.3 This warranty is in addition to and in no way prejudices Your statutory rights.
9.4 All samples, drawings, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising issued by Maun and any descriptions or illustrations contained in Maun’s website, catalogues or price list are issued for guidance purposes only to give an approximate idea of the goods described in them and do not form part of these Terms.
9.5 Maun will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss or damage including without limitation loss of profit, of use, or of contracts arising out of the supply or failure of supply of goods (other than liability for death and personal injury resulting from the negligence of Maun) and whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise. In all other cases liability will be limited to the contract price.
10 General
10.1 The Laws of England and Wales apply to this agreement and any disputes in connection with this agreement will be tried in the courts of England and Wales.
10.2 If any part of these conditions is invalid, illegal or unenforceable the validity, legality or enforceability of the other clauses and sub-clauses of these Terms will not be affected, and they will remain in full force and effect.
10.3 All website content (design, images and text) is the copyright of Maun and its suppliers. The content may not be copied or removed, nor may the site be altered or republished in any way without written permission of Maun.
10.4 All information and pricing on this website and in our current catalogue and price list were correct at the time of going live, E&OE (errors and omissions excepted).
