Insulated Side Cutters

(Showing 2 of 2)

Tough Cuts. Safer Hands.

Get the job done safely with Maun’s insulated side-cutting pliers.

Made for effortless cutting of cable and hard wire. Certified to IEC 60900:2018 for protection on systems up to 1000V AC and 1500V DC.

The Insulated Cutter That Cuts More

Our diagonal cutters don’t just nip. They slice through tough materials with ease. Thanks to compound-lever action, these tools multiply your hand force by up to 22x, making light work of hard wire and reducing fatigue on multiple cuts. Their HRC 64 induction-hardened jaws make them exceptionally durable as well.

That means less effort. More cutting power.

Choose from two sizes:

  • 140 mm – compact and precise. 18x hand force.
  • 160 mm – full-size performance. 22x hand force.

All of which feature:

  • Induction-hardened jaws to HRC 64 for durability.
  • Accurate cutting edges for precision in tight spaces.
  • Industrial-grade polymer-encased handles with hand-stops for insulation certified to IEC 60900:2018.
  • Built-in return springs.
  • Fully insulated to 1000V. Dielectrically tested to 10,000V for peace of mind.
  • Made from high-quality steel, precision engineered in the UK.

Are your pliers VDE?

When buying 1000V insulated tools, the most important consideration is ensuring the official double-triangle 1000V icon, along with the full standard – in our case, IEC 60900:2018 – is hard-marked on the product.

Manufacturers can choose to get products certified by the VDE institute, but the IEC 60900 standard does not require it.
