Maun combination pliers hold a pipe firmly while you cut the wire alongside it. We engineered the parallel-action jaw to grip evenly across the full length, with a side-mounted compound-lever cutter that multiplies your hand force by up to 25x on the 200 mm. Every plier in this range grips, manipulates and cuts wire without the pinch points you get with scissor-action.

• Parallel-Action Grip: Every plier in this range has jaws that move in parallel and close exactly flat. Our jaws grip evenly across their full length, so you avoid the pinch points and weak tip grip you get with scissor-action.
• Compound-Lever Cutting: Our side-mounted compound-lever cutter multiplies your hand force by up to 25x on the 200 mm models. That means cutting hard wire to 3.0 mm, soft wire to 6.0 mm and piano wire to 2.5 mm without leaning your weight on the handles.
• Published Hardness: We publish our hardness ratings because the numbers tell you whether the edge will roll on hard wire or crack on impact. We case-harden our jaws to HRC 57, and our cutting edges on the 200 mm models reach HRC 62-65, near the top of what hand-tool steel can deliver. If a manufacturer can't give you their HRC number, ask why.
• Made in England: We manufacture in Nottinghamshire, where our engineering team averages 25 years of plier-making experience between them. We do the hardening, the assembly and the testing in our Hamilton Road factory. We don't import and rebrand.
• Size-Matched Range: Our range spans six sizes, from a 125 mm mini for tight panel and jewellery work up to a 200 mm size for heavy cable and high-tensile fencing wire. Our 140 mm fits a confined consumer unit. Our 200 mm carries the leverage for first-fix wiring. All our pliers list cutting capacity by wire type (piano, hard, soft) so you can pick the model that handles what you're actually cutting.

• Combination Parallel Plier 180 mm - We added this to our range in March 2026, our all-rounder for days that mix plumbing, conduit and panel wiring. The serrated parallel jaw grips pipe, rod or threaded fittings without crushing the work, while the side-mounted compound-lever cutter handles 2.5 mm hard wire alongside it.
• 1000V Insulated Side Cutter Parallel Plier For Hard Wire 200 mm - Our 200 mm 1000V plier is the certified live-circuit option for first-fix wiring and heavy cable. We dielectrically test every tool to 10,000V and certify to IEC 60900:2018, with the double-triangle 1000V symbol hard-marked into the handle, not stickered. Our cutter delivers 25x force on HRC 62-65 cutting edges, biting through 3.0 mm hard wire one-handed.
• Side Cutter Parallel Plier For Hard Wire Return Spring Comfort Grips 160 mm - Built for full-shift use, this 160 mm pairs a return spring with PVC comfort grips. Our return spring opens the jaws between squeezes so you're not gripping against it all day, and our comfort grips reduce pressure on your palm. At 23x force and HRC 57 jaws, it's our all-rounder for consumer units, second-fix wiring and junction box management.
• Long Nose Side Cutter Parallel Plier Comfort Grips 200 mm - We tapered the 200 mm Long Nose jaws to 70 mm useable length, for the work standard-nose pliers can't reach. The tip narrows to 4.0 by 2.0 mm so it slides into wiring looms and confined engine bays, while the rest of the jaw still grips at 23x force. Our PVC comfort grips reduce palm pressure on repeated reach work, with HRC 57 jaws throughout.
• Fencing Plier 200 mm - Our Fencing Plier handles high-tensile electric fencing wire on the same 200 mm parallel-action body we use for our heavy-cable cutter. The V-slot feeds and holds wire along the full jaw length, and our HRC 62-65 cutting edges bite through 3.0 mm hard wire and 6.0 mm soft wire. We made it for the morning a length of fence has come down and the wire needs to be back up before milking.

They are not marked "VDE", because that is just one of many brands that certifies insulated tools to the IEC 60900 standard (and there are countless others), so it is not an official requirement. Our tools meet the official requirements.
